“ Another great meal at Black Rock. I had rib eye, the Mrs had a sirloin. Both on the stone. Both very nice. Melted in your mouth. Very busy on valentines evening but our waitress was very polite and attentive. With the food, maybe I'm greedy but I'd have loved a beef tomato and a couple of onion rings but that's just me. Big thank you to the couple who said about having a side plate and cooking some at a time on the stone as you eat, oh and sea salt, yep, game changer, many thanks. So, get a side plate, cut some meat off and eat while it's cooking, obviously, adding some sea salt ;-) (I had pepper too) Happy Mrs makes a happy me, thanks Black Rock ”
“ So, this restaurant had been mentioned to me for being an up n coming restaurant that’s different to the others locally! And I have to agree.. We decided to come here as a birthday try out, prebooked our table and when we arrived, there’s a Happy Birthday sign on our table, sweet addition and unexpected! So it was a nice touch, we both went for the ‘The Black Rock’ experience and had steak on the rock and have to say we both really enjoyed it! I had the garlic mushrooms to start with which could have done with more garlic but was tasty nevertheless, the service was very good and they were really trying you could tell.. so it’s a thumbs up from us! The cooking your own steak on rock was quite cool and reminded me of a steak fondue in Switzerland.. well worth a try! As an apology for the Prosecco not being cold, they gave me an extra mini bottle for free which was definitely a thumbs up and all forgiven! We’ll be back for sure! ”
“ Came again the following night because we loved it. Great experience for 3 adults and 3 children 9, 8 & 7. My 9 year old asked for steak served on a lava stone. When it came to the table, the waiter could clearly tell we had NO idea what to do so offered to show us how to cut and manoeuvre the steak to cook to my daughter's preference. I was very relieved to have his help and my daughter spotted him offering the same service to neighbouring tables. I will upload photos of the food; steak, fish, nuggets, mac & cheese, calypso coffee, desserts. ”
